HAMILTON – Lucy Art and Brooke Garretson of the Colgate women's swimming and diving team earned All-Patriot League Second Team honors when the league announced its postseason honors on Wednesday afternoon. 

Art and Garretson became Colgate's first All-Patriot League honorees since 2015 when Lindsey Sagasta and Morgan Cohara were selected to the second team. 

The swimmers and divers who place first in individual events at the Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championship automatically qualify for the All-League first team, while runner-up finishers are guaranteed at least a second-team spot. Both teams are completed based on overall points compiled during the championship. 

Art found the podium with a third-place finish in the 100 Free, touching the wall in 50.45 to become the program's first podium finisher since 2014. The first-year also competed in the 200 Free and 400 Free relay teams that took home fourth-place finishes. She compiled 58 total points over the four-day championship, second best on the team. 

Brooke Garretson tallied a team-best 60 points during the four-day championship, good for the 26th most of 126 swimmers on the women's side. She won the B Final in the 200 Back with a time of 2:01.56 to earn 20 points toward Colgate's team score. Garretson also contributed to the fourth-place 200 Free, 400 Free, and 800 Free relay teams. 

Colgate placed seventh at the Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championship with 573 total points. Women's Swimming and Diving First-Team All-Patriot League
