Colgate Lapses Against Southeastern
LAKELAND, Fla. – Colgate women's tennis faltered on the road, dropping a 5-2 decision to Southeastern on the road. With the loss, the Raiders fall to 7-7 on the season as they kick off Patriot League play this weekend.
Eliza Podlas/Avery Isaac collected their second-straight win on court three, but a hard-fought doubles point did not swing the Raiders' way after losses in the first and second slots.
Amelia Galin won her fourth match of the season in second singles after her opponent retired, allowing the Raiders to take a 2-1 lead after Gigi Bohan won 6-1, 6-2 on court six.
That was as close as the Raiders would get to victory, however, with Southeastern sweeping singles three through five, and adding an extra point with a victory on court one.
