Colgate ITS has launched an “AI Cafe” series that allows campus colleagues to participate in an interactive program.Here is a list of tools that will be featured in our AI Cafe Series. Other tools may be available for demonstration upon request. If you do not see a tool listed below but want to learn more about it, please let us know; we will arrange a consultation or demo. Please visit our Generative AI tools page to learn more about different tools.Chat GPT: ChatGPT, or Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer, is an open-access chatbot by OpenAI that uses machine learning, natural language processing, and deep learning to answer questions and respond to conversations.Colgate AI - ai.colgate.edu: Colgate AI offers an AI chat web application with a private-first approach that runs on Colgate’s supercomputer. Features include but are not limited to chatting about uploaded documents or linked web pages (URLs), audio file transcription, speech-to-text chatting, conversation mode chatting, and image generation (experimental). Read more in the documentation. Note: to access ai.colgate.edu, users must be on campus or logged into the VPN.GitHub Copilot: GitHub Copilot is an AI-powered coding assistant developed by GitHub and Open AI. It assists developers by suggesting code completions as developers type and turns natural language prompts into coding suggestions based on the project's context and style.OLLAMA with Anything LLM: Ollama is an open-source LLM Repository that provides a private chat interface for chatting with various models and allowing for offline interaction.Anything LLM is an all-in-one AI application for local LLMs, RAG, and AI Agents for local and private use. It provides the flexibility to tailor the model's behavior and outputs to meet unique requirements and use case.Perplexity: Perplexity is a free AI-powered “answer engine” that provides accurate, trusted, and real-time answers to any question. It is much like a search engine with enhancements that allow it to use natural language processing to frame your questions.
